Volunteers needed for research project on accent variation at UCL.
Bronwen is currently conducting research into how the ability to adapt to different accents of English is affected by age. She needs monolingual English speakers, born and raised in the south of England aged 60-70 years. The  experiment is very quick and easy -just listen to sentences and repeat back what you have heard; this takes about 30 minutes and can be done at your home at a time convenient to you. If  interested, please contact Bronwen Fisher by email on bronwen.evans@ucl.ac.uk

Coffee Rota
The new coffee rota for making tea and coffe after the Sunday morning service will start in May and we need more people to join it. If you are willing to help, please sign up on the list on the noticeboard outside the kitchen. If you already help, please confirm that you are happy to continue by singning up too. Many thanks.

Once again, the Church is aiming to play an active role in Christian Aid Week. We are now recruiting volunteers willing to spend an hour to collect in the High Street on Saturday 15 May or to support the house-to-house collection, involving maybe a couple of hours during the day or in the evening at times to suit yourself between 9th and 15th May. Volunteers to do both are especially welcome. In the absence of Brian & Christine during March, please volunteer your services to Phil Woodward(tel.07787354797) or email him at philwoodward@yahoo.co.uk

Is you flag flying high?
You will notice some flags displayed above the doorway to the worship area. We intend that this ongoing flag project will grow and reflect the diversity of people who worship at and visit Putney Methodist Church.
If your flag is not there, please let the welcome steward (at the table) know and you will be able to pick out your flag from our collection to add to the display. The flags serve as a welcome to other countrymen and women and state that someone from their country has worshipped ,or still worships, at Putney Methodist Church.

The singing Group
The new singing group meets every Wednesday at 8.00pm for about one hour. Please contact Michele Williams in the church for more information.

There is a Prayer Request Book at the back of the Church. Please do write your prayer requests in it and take time to read the requests from others.

A parent-child room is provided at the back of the church (nearest to the kitchen). Toys, colouring pens, paper and books are available. The service is relayed through, so parents with young children can join in worship while supervising their children in a more child-focussed setting.
