Children on the Ark

Noyes FluddeWe would love to have as many children as possible involved in our production. Benjamin Britten wrote the piece to be performed largely by children, and indeed to help introduce them to classical music and performance.

All children are welcome to join us; no prior experience is necessary. We will be running a one-day workshop on Saturday 1 February from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm, where we will learn music, work on choosing what animals we will be(!) and making masks. There’ll also be lots of opportunities for games and refreshments will be provided (bring a packed lunch), it will be an inclusive and welcoming environment in a well-supervised and relaxed atmosphere.

There is then a dress rehearsal from 6.00 to 7:45 pm on Friday 7 February and performances at 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm on Saturday 8th February.

Children will be supervised and chaperoned at all times by DBS-cleared members of the church, familiar with children's work. Parents are welcome to stay for the rehearsals or to leave and collect their children.

There is no charge for taking part; if you have children who’d like to join us or have any further questions then please contact us
