Umoyo Community Project

Putney Methodist Church is delighted to support the Umoyo Community Project. This is a UK registered charity that funds specific projects in a dedicated area in northern Malawi. It works very closely with local communities in order to identify possible projects that will help them to become self-reliant in future. 

Past projects have helped build water pumps, school buildings, environmental friendly sanitation and much more. The charity also provides ongoing financial support for education by paying fees and other requirements for secondary and further education. Umoyo Community Project helps promote community based care for those affected by HIV/AIDS. It was founded, and is led, by one of our members, Sarah Mtonga.
