Welcome to the website of Putney Methodist Church. We are a friendly Christian community based in south west London, seeking to serve God and our neighbours. A Time to Mourn, A Time to Dance

We are very excited to be hosting a free performance of the acclaimed Springs Dance Company's latest touring production: 'A Time to Mourn, A Time to Dance' on Sunday, 20 October at 5:00 pm. Created after the pandemic, the piece offers an opportunity to reflect on grief and human connection, and is ultimately a celebration of life. A Time to Mourn

On Sunday, 4 November at 4:00 pm, there will be a short informal service for anyone who would like to have a time of stillness, remembering those we have lost. In this season of remembrance, we hope that this will be a chance to come together and share our joys and sorrows at those whom we "love, but see no longer".

Messy Church

We are delighted to be able to offer Junior Church most Sunday mornings now. We also hold a monthly Messy Church on Sunday afternoons at the church especially aimed at families and children. It is a wonderfully relaxed space to explore stories from the Bible in a friendly and creative way. For dates and more details, please see here.

Christian Meditation

A regular Christian Meditation group meets every Tuesday night at 7:30 pm. These sessions are open to anyone and, especially in these challenging times, provide an opportunity to reflect and find a calm centre.

Weekly activities

We meet each week for worship on Sundays at 10:30 am. We also gather for a weekly prayer time on Wednesdays at 10:00 am, followed by a coffee morning until about 12:00 noon.
