Putney Methodist ChurchElmsley Hopkins
Lance Corporal in the 18th Battalion, London Regiment (Irish Rifles), died September, 1916 at the Somme.
His family lived at 70 Rotherwood Road, Putney. He was the son of Henry Lewis Hopkins and Elizabeth Gertrude Hopkins. Prior to the war he was working as an apprentice woodworker. He is buried at the Caterpillar Valley Cemetery, Longueval, France.
